Yesterday, March 9, was a big day for a lot of hip hop fans. On that day, 20 years ago, the Notorious B.I.G, otherwise known as Biggie Smalls, was murdered. This day has other meaning to me as well because my dad, who passed away when I was a teenager, would have been 68. Yeah, Biggie was murdered on my dad's birthday.
So, because we celebrate all things hip-hop at Definitive Selection, our 2nd Fridays Pilsen Art Walk show became a tribute to Biggie and the louder than life guy he was. We started out with Biggie inspired art by myself, hanging in the shop (and yeah, you can still stop by and see it!) and released a limited edition Biggie "Blackout" tee. The shirt is black puff ink on a black tee with red ink.
So if you love Biggie like we do, stop by the shop, check out the artwork and grab yourself a limited edition Biggie tee.
